CANADIAN CERTIFIED REFERENCE MATERIALS "FILLERS
IN PAPER" REFERENCE STDS Packaging: 20 paper standards
(each std. consists of 5 sheets of paper cut to 8 ½ 11 inches) Values given below are the fillers (pigments)
in weight percent, present in the paper sheet dried for 3hrs at 105°C
(TAPPI). Values for sheets conditioned at 50% humidity are also available
These paper standards are uncoated xerographic and offset ‘printing papers’, loaded with various fillers and commercially produced by the following paper companies: Avenor, Boise-Cascade, Domtar, Georgia-Pacific, Madison, PWA, Springhill, Weyerhaeuser and some European producers. Basis weights of standards A to O are 75g/m2. Basis weight of standards P to S varies between 45 to 105 g/m2. These standards are used mainly in the calibration of sensors for paper machines and determination of filler levels in quality control laboratories and research. Other supplied data (not shown) list also concentrations of major elements in ‘% oxide form', from which the filler levels could be calculated by a supplied Windows software. The software verifies overall stoichiometry and calculates the individual filler concentrations in paper. SOLD ONLY AS A ‘SET’ OF 20 STANDARDS PRICE: U.S.$ 800.- |
